How to Add a Filter and Rename a Filter Label in Search & Discovery

This guide shows how to add a storefront filter in Search & Discovery and change the label customers see.

In your Shopify admin, open Apps and click Search & Discovery.
Click Filters. Your store's filters are listed.
Click Add filter.
Click Select source and choose where the filter gets its values, here Product metafield: Material.
The filter values load from that source.
Click Save. A message confirms the filter was saved.
Back on Filters, the new filter is at the bottom of the list.
To rename a filter, click it, here Color.
Change the Filter label, here to Colour. Customers see this label in your store.
Click Save. A message confirms the filter was updated.
