How to Create Buy X Get Y and Free Shipping Discounts

This guide shows how to create a Buy X get Y discount and a free shipping discount code with a minimum purchase amount.

In your Shopify admin, click Discounts.
Click Create discount, then choose Buy X get Y.
Enter a discount code, such as BUY2GET1.
Under Customer buys, set the quantity to 2 and add the product.
Under Customer gets, set the quantity to 1, add the same product and choose Free.
Click Save. A banner confirms the discount was created.
Back in Discounts, click Create discount and choose Free shipping.
Enter a code, such as FREESHIP. Under Countries, choose Selected countries and add the country.
Under Minimum purchase requirements, set a minimum amount, such as $75.
Click Save. The free shipping code is ready to share.
