How to Customize Product Recommendations in Search & Discovery

This guide shows how to choose the complementary and related products Shopify recommends for a product.

In your Shopify admin, open Apps and click Search & Discovery.
Click Recommendations.
Click Add recommendations. A product list opens.
Search for the product and select it.
The edit page shows complementary products and related products. Related products start with auto-generated picks.
Under Edit complementary products, search for and add a product that's bought along with it.
Under Edit related products, search for and add a good alternative. It goes above the auto-generated picks.
Click Save. A message confirms the recommendations were saved.
