How to Find and Read an Order

This guide shows how to find an order by searching and filtering, open it, and read its items, payment, customer details and timeline.

In your Shopify admin, click Orders in the left menu.
Click the search bar and type the customer's last name.
Click the add filter button and choose Payment status.
Tick Paid.
The list now shows only paid orders for that customer.
Click an order to open it, such as #1037.
The top section shows the items and their fulfillment, including the tracking number.
The Paid section shows the subtotal, shipping and total paid.
On the right you'll find the customer and their addresses. The Timeline below lists everything that happened to the order.
Click the back arrow to return to your filtered orders list.
To clear the search and filter, click the clear icon, the circled X at the right end of the search bar. The full orders list comes back.
