How to Set a Product Category and Category Metafields

This guide shows how to give a product a category and fill in the category metafields that come with it.

In your Shopify admin, click Products.
Search for the product.
Open the product. The Category field is empty.
Click Category, type the category and choose the best match.
The category is set.
Scroll to Category metafields. These fields depend on the category.
Click Color and pick a value.
Fill in any other fields that apply to your product.
Click Save. A message confirms the changes were saved.
