How to Turn On an Abandoned Checkout Automation in Shopify Messaging

This guide shows how to review and turn on the abandoned checkout email automation in Shopify Messaging, and how to turn it off.

In your Shopify admin, open Apps and click Messaging.
Click Automations. Shopify lists templates to start with.
Find Recover abandoned checkout and click Review email.
The Automation preview shows the email customers get.
The trigger is Customer abandons checkout. Click Turn on automation.
A message confirms the automation is on. Its status shows Active.
To turn it off, click the menu on the automation and choose Turn off automation.
Confirm with Turn off.
The status is back to Inactive.
